Atomic Film Fest: War Games… Sorry, I mean “WarGames”

Hello! It's been a while since I rapped at ya, but I've been busy. You know, baby and all. I've also not watched too many movies lately. But I've been doing Blogtoberfest throughout all my websites, and I thought it was high time for a new review on Cinematic Attic. Let me explain the idea of the Atomic Film Fest. A few months ago I read an article that mentioned a 1983 made-for-TV movie called The Day After. It was supposedly about an atomic attack on the US, and it followed a bunch of people Read more [...]

You Just Don’t Get It, Do You? “Frances Ha” Edition

I titled this review "You Just Don't Get It, Do You?" based on a Dr. Evil quote from Austin Powers. Header-You-Just- I just don't get this movie. It's also debatable how much the Oscars matter. Nevertheless, I sometimes Read more [...]

Movie Review: “It Might Get Loud”

Or, as Jason Lee's lead singer character says in Almost Famous: "From the very beginning, we said I'm the front man, and you're the guitarist with mystique. That's the dynamic we agreed on!" The Z Word

If I were ever in a zombie apocalypse (or "infected" apocalypse or whatever) and I saw a zombie walking towards me, I wouldn't think, "Oh dear, how will ever dispatch of this zombie? It must be indestructible!" No way! I'd just say, "Oh shit! It's just like in every zombie book and movie ever made! Hey everyone, just destroy its head or brain and let's go home!" Read more [...]
