Dustin takes a break from movies and goes Downtown. Downtown Abbey, that is.

I bought Sam Downtown Abbey on the Blu-Rays for Christmas. We just finished season one. I liked it, a lot.

The thing that drew me to Downtown Abbey was the setting and time period. I kinda have a thing for mansions, and I kinda have a thing for early 20th century history. During the first episode, however, I figured that this show offers more than that. It drew me in like reruns of 90210 did to me when I was in high school. There’s about 16 characters and they all have something interesting happening to them. Extremely fast-paced, it was almost a complaint of mine to slow it down! Very, very well done, for sure, though. Deuce says check it out! Downton Abbey is available on Netflix and Amazon Prime if you have those. Oh, wait, I forgot the “w”. Downtown…sorry.

Anyone else watch this show? Let me know what you thought of season one. Don’t you dare mention season two yet!

  1. Yeah! I’m glad to see you added the “W”!

I’ve never seen this show, but I don’t really care that much about/for the first two decades of the 20th century. I know this probably makes me a bad person, but does that also make me a bad candidate to watch Downtown Abigail?
