Paul

This is actually Ryan, despite the title of this post. Last night I saw the 2011 movie Paul. But if the title of the post gets Paul out of seclusion to comment on the blog or write, even better. If you've not seen Paul, it's basically about two nerds that go on a post-Comicon tour of UFO sites in the southwest US, only to actually find an alien. I really liked the British original series of the same name, so I was initially skeptical 9 or so years ago when they made an American version. Why mess with something that was so great, right? Well, they did mess with it, but they tweaked it in a way that really gave the American version its own flare. It was less mean-hearted, and a bit more on the absurd side, which played well with me.
