The first 55 minutes are indeed good, and in fact are entertaining. And I realize that at that point in the Bond franchise they were reintroducing him, and trying to tell a back-story, so there'll be more than a novel, which I bet Fleming didn't imagine would ever take off like it did. But at the same time, it does contrast heavily with the rest of the movie. It didn't bug me, but it was like watching True Lies followed by Kindergarten Cop. Well, kinda.

I just remember liking it. So, did adding that fluff in the beginning of the movie bug you that much even though it sounds pretty fantastic?
