I tend to rate movies that are good but disappointing higher ratings because I figure they probably would have been great if I hadn’t hyped it so much. Plus, an Iron Man movie NOT receiving a 17/17 from me is pretty bad.

Captain America is good but I’ve noticed the last two times I’ve watched it, it has dropped in rating, whereas Thor gets better each time I watch it.

I just noticed the cropped image of Iron Man’s crotch. That’s cool. WordPress must be a pervert like the rest of us. How can one look at Robert Downey Jr WITHOUT looking at his groin? Not me, and DEFINITELY not President Obama.

Also, I didn’t notice this until now, but I thought it was funny how WordPress cropped the image in the “Recent Posts” picture (above right). It’s all about Iron Man’s codpiece, apparently.

Hey Djake–it’s nice to see a new review from you, and hopefully we’ll see more in the weeks to come.

I’ve not checked out this movie, but I actually laughed out loud at your last paragraph (but respectfully, of course). I just thought it was funny that you were talking about the movie being a disappointment and how it was bad, but then you gave it a 14/17? Maybe we need to calibrate our ratings, but that sounds pretty good, hah!

Anyhow, I’ve seen a few of the new Marvel movies, but not all of them. I liked Iron Man 1 and 2 well enough, but I didn’t care that much for Captain America (full disclosure: I saw it on a plane).
